Our capabilities include mechanical design, electronics development, and hardware prototyping. Combined with our complete contract manufacturing facility, we offer rapid product realization, prototype development, and scaleable manufacturing capability.

Prototyping and Contract Manufacturing
Level has extensive in-house manufacturing capability for machined, formed, and welded parts as well as electronic assemblies. We produce single unit prototypes up to thousands of parts for production runs.

Our in-house equipment includes:
  • Haas UMC-500SS full 5 axis vertical machining center
  • Haas DM-2 vertical machining center with up to 4 axis control
  • Haas Mini Mill 2 vertical machining center with HRT-160 4th axis rotary
  • Kitamura HX250iG full 4 axis horizontal machining center with pallet changer
  • Haas ST-10 turning center
  • Haas CL-1 turning center with bar feeder
  • 2 Epilog laser part marking systems
  • Prototype and small batch PCB assembly line (pick and place with reflow)
  • Soldering and rework stations
  • Low force extension test apparatus
  • TESA-Hite MAGNA 400 electronic height gage for 1-D GD&T measurement
  • Surface plate, optical comparator, measurement equipment, and bench microscope for inspection

Extensive specialized equipment is available including:
  • Vacuum/pressure decay and flow test equipment
  • Laminar flow bench for clean material handling
  • Environmental chamber for controlled temperature testing
  • Peristaltic pumps
  • Electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generator, and power supplies
  • Force gauges, load cell amplifiers
  • Strain gage installation and instrumentation
  • Precision contact and non-contact measurement tools

Software Tools and Experience
The Level Engineering team is experienced with numerous engineering software packages. The team is proficient in SolidWorks® and AutoCAD® for design modeling or drafting. Other engineering tools the team has experience with include MATLAB®, LabView®, Abacus® FEA, Fluent® CFD, CAMWorks®, HSMWorks®, Altium Designer®, and AutoDesk Eagle®.
